The KOLIBRI housing project developed a cooperative model of living and housing in which future residents participated in planning, consciously shaped their living environment, used resources responsibly and addressed individual needs. The project aimed to rethink social targeting and architectural quality through an innovative housing planning and implementation process. Scientific leadership and support safeguarded the individual steps and prepared them for possible application in subsidised housing.
